Minority Business Enterprise ["MBE"] designation

An MBE is a business that is a continuing, independent, for profit business which performs a commercially useful function and is at least 51% owned and controlled by one or more minority individuals. A minority is generally defined as an individual who is African American, Asian American, Hispanic American, or Native American.

As an MBC, BSJ is a member of the Northern California Minority Supplier Development Council (NCMSDC). It is one of 37 regional councils that form the National Minority Supplier Development Council one of the nation's leading business membership organizations. The National MSDC and its regional councils serve as a direct link between Corporate America and Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBEs). There are 3,600 Corporate Members throughout the network, including most of America's largest publicly-owned, privately-owned, and foreign-owned companies, as well as universities, hospitals and other buying institutions.
