Danville author Lubna Jahangiri is a lawyer, wife, and mother originally from Pakistan. Born on International Women’s Day, Lubna has always considered this a sign and is honored to share stories of countless voiceless women without advocates. Lubna’s novel, The Little Stepmother, tells the story of Jameela, a 12-year-old girl in an arranged marriage to an older man in north-west Pakistan, who becomes his second wife as well as stepmother to his two children.
